Irish Mythen
Jerry Moynihans Clonmel

We, at Clonmel World Music, have been trying to get Irish Mythen to play in Clonmel for years.
We finally made contact at Static Roots Festival last July, after a blistering set on the Sunday afternoon that wowed all present.
It was the Willie Meighen slot at the Festival, in which an artist is invited to the Festival to celebrate the contribution to music in Ireland of the great Rollercoaster Records owner and acclaimed Kilkenny promoter Willie Meighen.
Irish Mythen was the highlight of the Festival! The deal was done after the gig, to come to Ireland in 2027 !
Irish Mythen is a globally acclaimed artist known for their raw vocal power, magnetic stage presence, and ability to forge deep connections with audiences. Originally from Wexford and now based in Prince Edward Island, Canada, Irish’s career highlights include a JUNO nomination, multiple award wins, and performances at iconic venues like the Sydney Opera House and Glastonbury Festival.
Irish’s ground-breaking album Little Bones propelled them to global recognition, earning a 2020 JUNO Award nomination for Contemporary Roots Album of the Year, seven Music PEI 2020 nominations (including two wins), and the 2020 Canadian Folk Music Award for Solo Artist of the Year. Their previous self-titled album also received widespread accolades, including recognition from Music PEI, the East Coast Music Association, Folk Alliance International, and SOCAN. Their music and artistry have been featured in Rolling Stone, Australian Guitar Magazine, and numerous other influential media outlets, cementing their reputation worldwide.
Irish Mythen’s live shows are unforgettable—immersing audiences in a whirlwind of emotion, stories, and unparalleled artistry that leave a lasting impact.
Reviews
We spend all year looking for those rare artists who can walk onto a stage and physically change the atmosphere in the room. We look for the moments that give you goosebumps, that make you hold your breath, that make you feel truly alive. I have experienced the force of nature that is Irish Mythen a couple of times now, and let me tell you: they are the real deal. There are very few performers who can command a room like they can. In one moment, they will have the entire venue roaring with laughter at their sharp, hilarious banter. In the next breath, they will drop a song like “Maria” or “55 Years,” and you will find yourself moved to tears. It is a roller coaster of raw power and deep emotion. It is the magic that music can do to you, delivered by one person and a guitar.” – Dietmar Leibecke, Static Roots Festival Germany
“Irish Mythen is one of the few performers I have seen who bowls me over each time I see her, she makes me cry with her poignant lyrics and passionate vocals and makes me laugh with her cheeky Irish banter, I love her work and cannot understand why the whole world doesn’t agree with me. Now living in Prince Edward Island in Canada, Mythen has played worldwide and at last seems to be gaining the recognition she deserves.” ~ Rachel Griffin, Brighton and Hove News
“I had no idea what to expect when this five foot nothing lady took the stage, all smiles and twinkling eyes and guitar. Then, she opened her mouth and out flew a voice that came straight from the Heavens with all the power and the glory and the truth of someone destined to be a singer. I’ve been blessed with seeing and hearing a lot of talented musicians in my life, but I have never experienced anyone quite like Irish Mythen. She is a force of nature and a gift from Almighty Herself.”~ Lisa Schwartz, Philadelphia Folk Festival
“I was amazed at your ability to hold such a massive crowd as if it were a tiny one.” ~ Dougie MacLean, Artist
